A 16-year-old girl who disappeared during protests. Her last message was a video singing about freedom. Security forces killed her and hid her body, then forced her family to lie about her death.
“I will stay and fight for freedom”
A 16-year-old YouTuber who loved making videos and bringing joy to others. She was beaten to death by security forces during protests in Karaj. The regime forced her family to say she committed suicide.
“Life is beautiful when you are free”
A 25-year-old Iranian NFT artist and painter who described herself as "a rebel at heart." She was active on Foundation.app and OpenSea, creating digital art and NFTs supporting the Woman, Life, Freedom movement. She was arrested on September 25, 2022, and temporarily released in November. She had obtained a visa to Austria for continuing her studies but was prevented from leaving Iran at the airport due to a travel ban imposed because of her activism. She died under suspicious circumstances in January 2023, with many suspecting regime involvement rather than suicide.
