Mehdi Karami was only 17 years old when he was killed on June 15, 2009, making him the youngest victim of the Green Movement protests. A high school student from Tehran, Mehdi was killed on Janat Abad Street during the early days of protests following the disputed election. Despite his young age, Mehdi felt compelled to join the peaceful demonstrations, believing that his generation deserved a voice in Iran's future. His death on the streets of Tehran symbolized the regime's willingness to kill even children who dared to dream of freedom.
